Shuttle buses now link King Fahd International Airport with Jubail and Khafji
News
Travelers using King Fahd International Airport now have a direct bus link to two cities in the Eastern Province. The Transport General Authority, working with Dammam Airports, has begun the first phase of a passenger service on two shuttle routes: one between the airport and Jubail, and one between the airport and Khafji. Services run in both directions on designated routes, so the buses are for people going to the airport as well as for arrivals who need to continue their journey.
The authority describes the vehicles as modern buses fitted with equipment meant to improve safety and comfort. The stated purpose is practical: connect air and land transport, make movement easier, and give passengers in the Eastern Province another way to travel between cities.
Seats can be reserved on Darb Al Watan. Travelers who prefer to book in person can use the service offices near gates 5 and 6 in the arrivals lounge at King Fahd International Airport.
